Blue Monday according to Il Mannarino????

What is it?

Blue Monday, which falls every year on the third Monday of January is considered, according to a 2005 study, the saddest and most depressing day of the year. Research based on an equation, however, was deemed to be without foundation, falling into the realm of pseudoscience. Despite this, the idea of Blue Monday has spread throughout the northern hemisphere.

Why Blue?
Yes so called because In English 'blue' indicates a condition of sadness and melancholy.

Why the third Monday in January?

The date chosen is the result of the intersection of a number of variables such as:

  • weather of the period;
  • guilt about money spent during the Christmas holidays;
  • sense of wellbeing from holidays that are increasingly distant;
  • post-holiday drop in motivation;
  • increasing need to get the start of the year off to a good start.

So according to this research and studies, winter brings sadness, especially this third Monday of the month.

But you know what?

On this Blue Monday Il Mannarino chooses to be happy and to make you happy!

We have also formulated an equation, simple and straightforward:

Mannarino's good meat + A small gesture to make people smile = Happiness!

From today until Wednesday 19, the 10% of all orders placed on our online butcher's shop, will be donated to Make A Wish Onlusa non-profit organisation legally recognised by the Italian state, which realises the wishes of children and young people aged between 3 and 17 years, suffering from serious illnesses to bring them joy, strength and hope.

Because everyone deserves to be happy, especially on the saddest day of the year.
